Small Business questions

What counts as a card reader?

Any payment terminal a customer taps, inserts, or swipes a card on — a countertop reader, a handheld or tableside reader, or the reader on a self-checkout. The Small Business plan covers one location with up to 3 deployed readers. Need more than three? The App Plan scales to more readers and more locations.

Is there a free trial, and do I need a card?

There is no free-trial period on the Small Business plan — it is $25 per month, billed on the day you sign up, and you cancel any time. A card is required at signup. If you have a code from one of our cards, enter it at checkout for a launch discount.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. The plan is month to month with no contract and no setup fee. Cancel from your billing portal whenever you like; you keep access through the period you have paid for.

Does it work for a food truck or a pop-up?

Yes. When you park and start selling, you can check in for a set number of hours so your truck or stand shows on the public SkimGuard safety map near your spot for that window, then drops off the map when the window ends.

Does it work on iPhone?

You set up and manage the plan on the web from any phone, iPhone or Android. The staff scanning app is on Google Play today; the iPhone staff app is in the works, and you can run setup and the dashboard from the web on an iPhone in the meantime.
